Run this 5-minute sweep before you submit anything. Check off each one as you fix it.

Patterns that flag it

Same-length bullets
If all bullets start with a verb and have the same rhythm, vary at least 3 of them.

Zero contractions
Add "I'm" instead of "I am." Add "didn't" instead of "did not." Real people use contractions.

Vague numbers
"Increased sales" becomes "increased sales 18% over 4 months." Add YOUR actual numbers.

No specific names or places
AI avoids specifics. Add the actual company name, city, or tool you used.

Overly formal summary
If your summary sounds like a LinkedIn ad, rewrite it like you're talking to someone at a job fair.
